An easier way to ask for feedback

Send the file. Skip the client account.

Let a client open a review link, enter their name and see the file you chose to share. Give them viewing or commenting access.

A small invitation with a clear boundary.

A guest link grants access to one file, not your workspace. Guests can take part in permitted feedback without becoming a paid editor or receiving access to your other projects.

Choose the review permissions

Create a view-only or comment-enabled link for the selected file and version behavior.

Set an end to the review

Links expire and can be revoked. New guest requests are checked against current access.

Keep feedback with the team

Guest names and comments appear alongside the file’s feedback, so members can read and respond in context.

The workflow

How client guest reviews works.

  1. 1

    Create the link

Choose the file, permissions and expiry from the sharing controls.

  2. 2

    Ask for feedback

The reviewer opens the link and enters a display name. No workspace account is needed.

  3. 3

    Close access when finished

Revoke the link or let it expire. The existing feedback remains with the file.

Before you start

  • Treat a guest link as a credential: anyone who receives it may redeem it while it is valid. A display name is not verified identity.
  • Sharing, session and request-rate limits apply. Guests cannot upload, manage members, or trigger paid AI, OCR or conversion jobs.
  • Revocation blocks new authorized requests. A download URL already issued can work for up to 60 seconds; downloaded copies cannot be recalled.
  • Guests don't see live cursors, and they can't resolve threads; members do that.
