Understand file processing statuses

What the status means

Uploading transfers your original. Validation checks its contents. Office conversion produces a separate PDF for review. Ready means a usable review artifact is available. A processing or queued Office file can exist before its preview is ready.

While conversion is queued

Keep the original file. Background dispatch runs periodically, so a queued conversion may take several minutes to begin. Refreshing repeatedly does not accelerate it. Large or complex documents can take longer; there is no guaranteed conversion time.

When processing fails

1. Read the file’s displayed status or error.
2. Use Retry conversion if that action is offered and the temporary problem has passed.
3. Check the workspace’s conversion allowance.
4. If the problem persists, contact support with the file type, approximate size and time. Do not send confidential content.
