Client Portal

Give clients a single link to track all their projects, review proposals, and follow delivery.

A client portal is a personal link you send to a client so they can see all of their projects with your workspace in one place. From the portal, clients can review proposals, check delivery updates, and send feedback — without needing a Sensra account.

What a client portal is

When you generate a client portal link, Sensra creates a secure, unguessable URL tied to that specific client record. Opening the link shows the client a branded dashboard with:

  • Every active project you have with them — not just one.
  • Proposals that are ready for their review, with sections laid out clearly.
  • The latest delivery update for each project, so they can follow progress.
  • Feedback buttons on proposals and delivery updates so they can respond without a separate email thread.

Clients do not need a password or a Sensra account. The link is their access. Treat it like a secure document link — do not post it publicly.

Client portal vs. a proposal or intake link

Sensra has three types of client-facing links. They are not interchangeable:

Link type Scope What the client sees Best used for
Client portal One client, all projects All active projects, proposals, and delivery updates in one dashboard Ongoing client relationships; give this once, they bookmark it
Proposal link One proposal, one project That specific proposal only, with accept / request changes Sending a specific proposal for formal acceptance
Intake link One project A form to fill in project details Collecting client requirements at the start of a project

The portal is the relationship view. Proposal and intake links are transactional — sent for a specific action on a specific project. You will typically share a portal link once per client relationship, while proposal and intake links go out project by project.

How to create a client portal link

When creating a new client

  1. Go to Clients and select New client.
  2. Fill in the client details and save.
  3. Sensra takes you to the new client's detail page. A prompt at the top offers to set up their portal link immediately.
  4. Select Create portal link or Send to [email] if the client's email is on file. The link is shown once — copy it or send it before navigating away.

For an existing client

  1. Go to Clients and select the client by name.
  2. On the client detail page, find the Client portal section.
  3. Select Create portal link. The URL appears once — copy it before navigating away.
  4. Alternatively, select Send to [email] to generate and email the link in one step. This requires an email address on the client record.

Rotating and revoking the link

Each client has one active portal link at a time. If you generate a new link, the old one is automatically revoked. This is useful if you suspect the link has been forwarded to the wrong person or if a client relationship has ended.

To disable portal access without creating a new link, select Revoke link on the client detail page.

What clients can do from the portal

  • Read any proposal that has been marked ready for client review.
  • Accept a proposal or request changes (with section-level notes).
  • View the latest delivery snapshot for each project.
  • Send delivery feedback ("Looks good" or "Needs attention" with a note).

Clients cannot see internal drafts, intake submissions, AI generation history, team comments, or workspace settings. They only see material that has been explicitly shared for client review.

Plan availability

The client portal is available on Pro and Studio plans. Free workspaces will see the portal section but cannot generate links until the plan is upgraded.
