Proposal and Scope Version History

Track every status change on a proposal or scope of work with automatic snapshots.

Proposals & scopes2 min read

Sensra automatically saves a snapshot of every proposal and scope of work document each time its status changes. Version history gives you a traceable record of how a document evolved — from first draft through approval and client review.

When snapshots are created

A snapshot is captured automatically whenever a document transitions between statuses:

  • When a draft is generated or regenerated.
  • When a document is approved internally.
  • When a client proposal link is created (the document is marked as Sent).
  • When a client accepts or requests changes on a proposal.
  • When a document is manually updated after approval.

You do not need to manually save snapshots — they are captured at each status transition.

How to view version history

  1. Open a project and navigate to the Proposal or Scope of work tab.
  2. Open the document view.
  3. Select Version history from the document actions.

The history panel lists each snapshot in reverse chronological order, showing the status, the date, and what changed compared to the previous snapshot.

What the diff view shows

Each snapshot entry shows which document sections were added, changed, or removed compared to the prior version. This makes it easy to see what the AI generated vs. what you edited, or what changed between a draft and an approved version.

What version history is not

Version history is a read-only audit trail, not a rollback system. You cannot restore a previous version automatically — if you need to revert a change, refer to the snapshot for the prior content and edit the current document manually.

Why this matters for client work

Having a clear snapshot record removes ambiguity when a client asks what changed between the version they saw and the current one, or when your team needs to confirm what scope was approved before tasks were generated.
