Once a client has accepted a proposal, you can send them a deposit invoice from inside Sensra. Payment is collected through Stripe Checkout — no external invoicing tool required.
Prerequisites
- The proposal must be approved internally and accepted by the client (via the proposal link).
- A Stripe Connect account must be active for your workspace. See the setup steps below.
Connect Stripe to your workspace
- Go to Settings → Connected apps.
- Find Stripe and select Connect Stripe.
- Complete the Stripe onboarding flow. This creates a Stripe Express account linked to your workspace.
- Once connected, return to Sensra. The Connected apps page will show Stripe as active.
Stripe onboarding covers your business details, bank account for payouts, and identity verification. Stripe handles all payment processing and compliance directly.
Send a deposit invoice
- Open the project and go to the Proposal tab.
- Confirm the proposal shows as accepted by the client.
- Select Send deposit invoice.
- Enter the deposit amount, currency, and an optional description (for example, "50% deposit to begin").
- Select Send invoice. Sensra creates a Stripe Checkout session and records the invoice.
The invoice panel shows the Stripe Checkout link. Share this link with your client — or copy it and send it in an email or message.
Invoice statuses
- Pending: The invoice has been sent and payment has not been collected yet.
- Paid: The client completed payment through Stripe Checkout.
- Voided: You cancelled the invoice before it was paid.
Voiding a pending invoice
If you need to cancel an invoice before payment, open the invoice panel and select Void. Voiding expires the Stripe Checkout session so the client can no longer pay through the original link.
What Sensra does not handle
Sensra records the deposit invoice and links it to the project. All payment processing, payout scheduling, refunds, and disputes are managed directly in your Stripe dashboard. Sensra does not send payment receipt emails — Stripe sends those automatically when payment is completed.
Disconnect Stripe
To remove Stripe from your workspace, go to Settings → Connected apps and select Disconnect Stripe. Disconnecting removes the Stripe account link from Sensra but does not affect your Stripe account or any completed payments.
