Send Approved Tasks to ClickUp

Connect ClickUp and send approved Sensra tasks to an existing List.

Use the ClickUp handoff when your team wants reviewed Sensra tasks created in an existing ClickUp List.

What Sensra sends

Sensra creates tasks in the ClickUp List you choose. Sensra sends reviewed task details only, such as task title, description, phase, priority, delivery status, due date, Done means, owner/suggested owner label, and source section label.

Sensra does not send comments, client responses, source excerpts, AI drafts, internal rationale, files, public links, tokens, or private project history.

This is a one-way handoff. Sensra does not sync changes back from the PM tool, and it does not update external tasks after they are created.

Before you connect

  1. Choose the existing ClickUp List that should receive approved tasks.
  2. Make sure the ClickUp account you connect can create tasks in that List.
  3. Confirm the List is available in the workspace you authorize.

Connect ClickUp in Sensra

  1. Open a Sensra project and go to Overview.
  2. Open Project tools, then open Send to PM tool.
  3. Select ClickUp and choose Connect ClickUp.
  4. Complete the ClickUp authorization screen and return to Sensra.
  5. Choose the ClickUp List in the handoff panel.

After authorization, Sensra stores the connected app securely. You choose the List destination from the handoff panel before previewing or sending tasks.

Run the handoff

  1. Approve the tasks you want to send.
  2. Preview approved tasks from the PM handoff panel.
  3. Review the count of tasks that will send and tasks already sent.
  4. Select Send approved tasks to ClickUp.

Sensra creates tasks in that List. Task details are added to the task description, and due date is sent when available. Sensra does not set custom fields, assign members, create dependencies, comments, or attachments.

Duplicate and skipped tasks

If a task was already sent to ClickUp from this project handoff connection, Sensra marks it as already sent and skips it on later runs. The result summary shows created, skipped, and failed counts.

Disconnect ClickUp

Open the PM handoff panel, select ClickUp, and choose Disconnect. This removes the saved Sensra connection. It does not delete ClickUp tasks that were already created.

Troubleshooting

  • Connection failed: Reconnect ClickUp and confirm the account can access the destination List.
  • Destination required: Choose a ClickUp List before previewing or sending.
  • No tasks to send: Approve at least one task in Sensra first.
  • Tasks are skipped: Skipped tasks were already handed off from this connection.
